Delicious! Cafe Piccolo made a mouthwatering chocolate mousse for my son's baptism. It was incredibly beautiful and they were so easy to work with!

My favorite bakery and based on how busy it is, it's the go to place for baked goods! I travel 40 minutes, but it's worth it! New owner is wonderful. He really cares about his business and customers! Baked items are delicious! Pastries are just the way they should be. An authentic Italian bakery with a large variety of items; you won't be disappointed! Coffee is good too!

I am happy to know that there is a traditional Italian bakery in the local area. I found a nice selection of pastries here, and the desserts I tried were tasty. The prices were a tad high though. I'm also a sucker for red and white twine wrapped boxes. This place is worth a try.

I always stop here to get my muffins in the morning they have the most unbelievably soft and delicious muffins in all of Mahopac. I always make a joke that there's something in their butter that always keeps me coming back because I adore this place. Tried their Açaí bowl today and it was absolutely amazing. One of the best bakeries I've ever been to. And the staff is super friendly and super helpful.

Cafe Piccolo is a great spot to meet friends for lunch, I've been doing so for about two years now and I always find the staff to be warm, friendly, and helpful. The food is delicious--freshly baked pastries, cookies, breads, and cakes, plus sandwiches too. There's nothing too fancy here, lunch selections are simple items like tuna salad or cream cheese on a bagel, occasional specials of grilled cheese, and excellent coffee. But everything is fresh and the sandwiches are made to order. Try the apple-filled, horseshoe-shaped pastry--flaky exterior and filled with tender, just-sweet-enough apples. They have just finished a major renovation and the place looks great, clean and modern. Prices are very reasonable and it's a lovely, casual environment that is a real comfort.

I had my baby's baptism cake made here. The cake was absolutely delicious and beautifully decorated. We had chocolate mousse and cannoli cream inside. They aren't too expensive, pretty reasonable for fresh baked goods. Staff are all friendly and knowledgeable, baker comes out to offer help if needed, I'll be going there again for my next big event!

Been going here for years whenever i want something for a special event. I usually pick out a big box of different pastries instead of a bday cake so everyone can get something they like. My favorites are their giant rainbow cookie slices, their rummy chocolate ganache, and they make great shortbread cookies that are filled with jam and slightly dipped in chocolate. Always a great variety, and they do a few seasonal desserts too.

I really wish people would leave more reviews when they are happy with service than just when they are unhappy because this place is AMAZING and these reviews do not reflect what a great place it is! Everything is remarkably fresh and so delicious. The people who work here are so nice that they make you feel like you have known them your entire life. You will not find a better bakery than this one whether you are just popping in for a coffee or need a cake to feed your entire extended family. We order all of our cakes from here and have never once had anything that was less than out of this world delicious! My 80 year old Uncle who lives upstate makes me bring him an assortment of their cookies every time I visit because - and I quote - "they are the greatest cookies he has ever eaten". He actually stops conversations with me to say "hey leesh, those cookies in your town, they are the best things ever." You can't make this stuff up! So to all the angry customers who take out their frustrations on yelp, I am sure this place is not missing your business. Cafe Piccolo is always packed with people who appreciate what a community staple this place is!
